The Hope Foundation

For each Happy Easter Egg purchased, a donation of 10c is going to The Hope Foundation.  This is an Irish charity which gives hope to street and slum children in Kolkata (Calcutta) in India, children who don’t know the comforts and security of a safe home or regular meals, much less an Easter egg.

By purchasing the Happy Easter Egg you will in a small way be helping children and families in desperate need, not only in Kolkata (Calcutta) but also in nearby villages.  There are over 250,000 children in Kolkata (Calcutta) who have been born into a life of extreme poverty on the streets, or trafficked into the city.  They never know the comforts and security of a safe home or regular meals.  For them, each day is a real fight for survival.  But we believe that children deserve and have a right to safety, food and love.
